Rising Prospects

With the scouting combine complete and the NFL draft less than a month and a half away, here are a few players rising up draft boards:

Stephen Hill - Wide Receiver - Georgia Tech

At 6,4 Hill is a mountain of a man. He has great leaping ability (almost 40 inch vertical leap at the combine) and great speed and agility. He ran the 40 yard dash in 4.36 seconds, making him one of the fastest players in the draft. This combination of size and speed will make him a difficult matchup for any cornerback in the NFL. He is very raw at this point but has a huge amount of upside and could blossom into a superstar receiver.

Dontari Poe - Defensive Tackle - Memphis

Huge dude with good speed. At 6,4, 346 Poe is a massive DT with great strength and tremendous speed (for a player his size).  He ran the 40 in 4.87 seconds and did 44 reps of 225 pounds. He projects as an elite DT at the next level and could be a top 10 pick in late April after his impressive showing at the combine.

Other players on the rise:

  • Ryan Tannehill - Quarterback - Texas A&M
  • Coby Fleener - Tight End - Stanford
  • Adam Gettis - Guard - Iowa
  • Fletcher Cox - Defensive Tackle - Mississippi State
